On Tuesday (May 23, 2023), Hong Kong Airlines announced the launch of four-times weekly service between Hong Kong and Nagoya, Japan starting July 8, 2023. This follows the start of new service to Fukuoka in April and the resumption of flights to other destinations in Japan. Nagoya is the capital city of Aichi Prefecture and home to 2.3 million residents. A major Japanese transportation hub, the city is an important gateway for travelers to easily connect to a range of popular attractions, including the magnificent Nagoya Castle and the scenic Shirakawagō countryside, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Hong Kong Airlines continues to optimize flight operations to meet increasing summer demand between Hong Kong and Japan. In addition to the new service to Nagoya, the carrier operates double-daily flights to both Osaka and Okinawa, as well as three weekly flights to Sapporo. Service to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) will be increased to three daily flights from June, while frequencies to Fukuoka and Nagoya will become daily from June and August respectively.
