Gulf Air to Launch Weekly Singapore Service From April 2021

Gulf Air will add Singapore to their growing network with one weekly flight starting April 2021. The route will be serviced with the carrier’s flagship Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with 26 Falcon Gold Class and 256 Economy Class seats.

On Tuesday (February 23, 2021), Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced new weekly service between Bahrain and Singapore starting April 2021. Singapore will become Gulf Air’s latest boutique destination, appealing to premium leisure and business travelers. The flight will be scheduled with convenient departure and arrival times to and from Singapore, allowing seamless connectivity to the airline’s network destinations in Europe and the GCC.


The route will be operated with the carrier’s flagship Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with 26 Falcon Gold Class and 256 Economy Class seats; a 32 percent capacity increase compared to the airline’s previous widebody offering. Singapore will become Gulf Air’s latest Asian network destination, complementing existing service Bangkok and Manila. The airline first offered service to Singapore in the 1990s and Gulf Air is confident that the new service will be amongst their top long-haul routes.


Founded in 1950, Gulf Air is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and normally serves 49 cities in 27 countries. From its hub at Bahrain International Airport, the airline offers twice daily service to 10 or more regional cities as well as international flights to the Indian subcontinent and Europe. Gulf Air currently operates a modern fleet of 33 narrow and widebody aircraft and by 2023 their fleet will consist of 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, 12 Airbus A320neos and 17 Airbus A321neos. The airline is known for its traditional Arabian hospitality and Gulf Air is committed to becoming an industry leader and developing products and services that reflect the evolving needs and aspirations of their guests.
