Today, Frontier Airlines launched inaugural nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and San Jose, Costa Rica. The carrier will also start service between Orlando and St. Maarten next Thursday, July 10, 2021.
Today (July 1st, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the start of new twice-weekly nonstop service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). Additionally, the carrier will launch new once-weekly service between Orlando and St. Maarten (SXM) from Thursday, July 10, 2021. To celebrate the launch of the new Orlando-San Jose service, Frontier is offering introductory fares from only $99. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EDT on July 7, 2021, for travel on Mondays and Fridays through October 7, 2021. A seven-day advance purchase is required and blackout dates include September 3rd and 6th, 2021.
In Thursday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,
“We’re excited to launch service from Orlando to Costa Rica today, and St. Maarten next week. With the addition of this new service, Frontier now offers 63 nonstop Orlando routes this summer. We have expanded our MCO route network to meet the pent-up desire for summer travel while continuing to offer both affordable fares and a friendly flying experience.”
Also commenting on the new service, the Greater Orlando Airport Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Phil Brown, said,
“Frontier’s start of new international service at Orlando International Airport is an excellent opportunity for travel to two popular markets. With these exciting new destinations in the airline’s network, Frontier continues to solidify its rank as the airline serving the most destinations from Central Florida.”
