Frontier Airlines Launches 22 New Routes Including Inaugural Service From Newark Liberty

Frontier Airlines announced Thursday that they have started nonstop service to 22 new destinations, including first ever service from Newark Liberty International Airport.

This week, low-cost-carrier Frontier Airlines announced the start of 22 new routes, including all new service from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). As part of their expansion the airline has increased service to Miami, Las Vegas and Phoenix. To celebrate the new service Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares as low as $29. Tickets must be purchased before midnight on November 17, 2019 for travel from December 4, 2019 through February 12, 2020. The introductory fares are not available during a blackout period from December 19, 2019 through January 6, 2020. In Thursday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz said,

“Frontier’s considerable service expansion this week is another milestone in our tremendous growth story. We’re especially excited to begin service at Newark, growing our presence in the New York City area and creating new travel opportunities for our customers. In addition, we continue to expand our presence in exciting destinations like Las Vegas, Miami, Phoenix and San Juan.”


Frontier Airlines operates the largest Airbus A320 Family fleet in the U.S., with over 95 aircraft. By utilizing weight-saving tactics, the airline has been able to reduce fuel burn by 39% when compared to other U.S. carriers. Frontier allows passengers to purchase a-la-carte options according to their budget or in an all-inclusive bundle called the “WORKS” which includes refundable tickets, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, best available seat, priority boarding and waived change fees. The Denver-based airline is growing rapidly and currently has over 150 new Airbus A320 Family aircraft on order. Frontier serves more than 100 cities on 400 daily flights to destinations in the U.S., Canada, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
