Frontier Airlines Announces Two New Routes From Miami, New Service Between Orlando and Phoenix

The airline will launch new service between Miami and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands as well as new nonstop flights between Orlando and Phoenix, which will launch in March 2021.

On Tuesday (January 19, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of two new routes from Miami with service to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands starting March 7th and flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from March 8, 2021. The airline will also resume Miami-Las Vegas service in March 2021. The new routes from Miami join service to both Cancun and Orlando which will start in February. Additionally, Frontier announced the start of new nonstop flights between Orlando and Phoenix starting March 11th, as well as the resumption of service between Orlando and San Diego from March 7, 2021. The two routes from Orlando join Frontier’s new nonstop routes to Cancun, Miami, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, St. Thomas and Wilmington which will be launched in February.


Commenting on the new Miami routes, Frontier Airlines’ Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,

“We’re thrilled to continue our exceptional growth at Miami’s convenient airport with new nonstop flights to Punta Cana and St. Thomas starting right in time for spring break travel. These new flights will offer unparalleled affordability and access between Miami and two beautiful destinations in the Caribbean. Additionally, the flights will maintain Frontier’s high health standards, including required mask wearing, temperature screenings and enhanced onboard cleaning.”


Also commenting on the new Orlando-Phoenix route, Mr. Shurz, stated,


“Frontier is taking off in the new year with an unprecedented level of service at Orlando International Airport, which now includes daily flights to Phoenix, one of 60 destinations that Frontier will fly nonstop from Orlando in March. Orlando continues to be incredibly popular with travelers across the spectrum, from vacationing families to adventure seekers, and Frontier offers unparalleled affordability for flyers visiting the Theme Park Capital of the World.”
