flynas Takes Delivery of 16th Airbus A320neo Aircraft
flynas has taken delivery of their 16th Airbus A320neo. The Saudi national carrier originally placed an order in 2017 valued at SAR 32 billion (US $8.53 billion) for 120 A320neos, of which 16 have now been delivered.

On Monday (May 24, 2021), flynas, the Saudi national carrier and leading LCC in the Middle East, announced the delivery of their 16th Airbus A320neo. The latest delivery is part of a SAR 32 billion (US $8.53 billion) order for 120 A320neos placed in 2017. The delivery follows the lifting of the international travel ban for Saudi citizens and will help facilitate the implementation of Flynas’ summer 2021 schedule. For summer, flynas plans to launch service to 12 seasonal destinations, complementing their year-round offerings with service to Salzburg, Kyiv, Tashkent, Tirana, Hurghada, Salalah, Vienna, Sarajevo, Baku, Tbilisi, Batumi and Sharm El Sheikh. flynas’ new Airbus A320neo has been configured with 174 seats and offers a 15 percent fuel burn and emissions reduction, as well as a noise footprint reduction of 50 percent compared to previous generation aircraft.
Founded in 2007, flynas is the national carrier of Saudi Arabia and leading LCC in the Middle East. The carrier operates over 1,200 weekly flights to 35 domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 30 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. Since its founding, flynas has carried over 38 million passengers from its bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha. flynas received the prestigious Skytrax award for ‘Middle East’s Best Low-Cost Airline’ in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
