flydubai Showcases Boeing 737-8 MAX at Dubai Airshow 2021

flydubai is participating for the seventh time in the Dubai Airshow which runs from November 14-18, 2021. This year, the airline will showcase one of their new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with a static aircraft display.

On Saturday (November 13, 2021), flydubai announced that they will be participating in the Dubai Airshow for the seventh time which runs from November 14-18, 2021. The airline will showcase one of their new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with a static display at the show. The aircraft features a special livery design in celebration of the UAE’s 50th anniversary. The display aircraft is one of 18 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft in the flydubai fleet, which has a total of 55 Boeing 737s, including 43 Boeing 737-800NGs, and three Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft. Powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, the MAX 8 has a range of 6,560 km (3,542 nm) and offering enhanced fuel efficiency, the aircraft has been designed to improve fleet performance and flexibility.


In Saturday’s announcement, flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said,


“We are delighted to be back at the Dubai Airshow, especially during this historic year in which we celebrate our nation’s 50th anniversary. As travel begins to open up and the world begins to connect once again, it gives those of us in the aviation industry an opportunity to be optimistic and what better place to share this sentiment than with key stakeholders at the Dubai Airshow. It is also a great platform to showcase our Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft which offers our passengers an enhanced onboard experience and operational efficiencies.”



flydubai’s MAX 8 is configured with 10 Business Class and 156 Economy Class seats and delivers an enhanced onboard guest experience through space optimization. The Business Class seat provides extra space and privacy with a high curved shell that offers a sense of seclusion. The seat also full reclines providing a 78-inch lie-flat bed and includes a 15.6 inch 1080p HD IFE touchscreen for guest entertainment. The RECARO Economy Class seats also provide added comfort and feature a generous pitch so guests can sit back, relax and enjoy their flight.

flydubai has grown their network to over 95 destinations across 50 countries in Africa, Central Asia, the Caucuses, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. Recently, the carrier resumed service to Naples, Prague and Zagreb, and has also launched new service to Ankara, Budapest, Ljubljana, Salzburg, Sohar and Warsaw. flydubai guests booking a flight to Dubai will also enjoy a complimentary 1-Day ticket to visit Expo 2020 Dubai, which opened on October 1st and will operate through March 2022.
