flyadeal Receives First Airbus A320neo out of 30 to be Delivered in the Next Three Years

flyadeal has taken delivery of their first new Airbus A320neo of 30 to be delivered in the next three years. The Jeddah-based LCC is owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines which ordered a total of 65 A320neo Family aircraft at the 2019 Paris Air Show.

On Friday (July 16, 2021), Airbus announced that flyadeal, the Jeddah-based low-cost carrier owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), has taken delivery of the first of 30 Airbus A320neos to be delivered over the next three years. The aircraft is also the first of 65 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft ordered by SAUDIA at the 2019 Paris Airshow. The new aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and is configured with 186 seats in a single Economy Class layout.

The A320neo will facilitate the growth of flyadeal’s domestic and regional network, while delivering a 20 percent fuel savings and C02 reduction compared to previous generation Airbus aircraft. To date, the A320neo Family has received over 7,400 orders from 120 global customers.


flyadeal launched on September 23, 2017, the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has since served over two million guests. The Jeddah-based LCC is a sister company of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA). The LCC offers low base fares, allowing customers to purchase only the products and service they value such as extra legroom and pre-ordered meals. The airline operates a fleet of 11 new Airbus A320 aircraft with comfortable seating and in-seat USB charging for personal electronic devices.
