On Sunday (December 20, 2020), Emirates announced that they will deploy their iconic flagship A380 on the Dubai-Sao Paulo route from January 9th through January 30, 2021. This marks the first time the super-jumbo will return to South America since flight suspensions last March due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Emirates resumed service to Sao Paulo last August utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER. Guests traveling between Dubai and Sao Paulo will enjoy a signature experience aboard the flagship aircraft including the A380 Onboard Shower and Spa, reintroduced with new health and safety protocols. The carrier also relaunched their signature dining experience across all classes in early November.

Brazilian guests traveling to popular holiday destinations such as the Maldives can also enjoy a visit to Dubai, including a free visa to Brazilian nationals upon arrival. Dubai is one of the most popular global destinations, welcoming 16.7 million visitors in 2019. From sun-soaked beaches to heritage activities and world-class hospitality and leisure facilities, Dubai has something to offer for all guests. Additionally, Dubai was one of the world’s first cities to receive the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) for their effective measures to ensure the health and safety of visitors.

Emirates guests purchasing tickets for travel on or before June 30, 2021 will enjoy generous rebooking terms and options if their plans change due to unexpected COVID-19 related flight or travel restrictions, including the ability to change travel dates or extend ticket validity for up to two years. The carrier has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the guest journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of their guests and team members. Emirates also distributes complimentary hygiene kits which include masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes.

Additionally, Emirates has launched an industry-first multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover, allowing customers to travel with confidence and greater peace of mind. The complimentary coverage is available on all tickets purchased from December 1st, 2020 and includes COVID-19 medical cover, provisions for personal accidents during travel, winter sports cover, loss of personal belongings and trip disruptions. Emirates’ guests requiring a COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure from Dubai can receive special pricing at clinics across Dubai by presenting their ticket or boarding pass. Home testing is also available, with results in 48 hours.
