Emirates Rolls Out Premium Economy Service on Routes to São Paulo and Tokyo Narita

Emirates has today announced that their popular Premium Economy product will be introduced on routes from Dubai to São Paulo and Tokyo-Narita effective November 19th and December 20th, respectively.

On Thursday (September 28, 2023), Emirates announced that they will extend their highly sought after Premium Economy product to two additional points, including São Paulo and Tokyo-Narita, effective November 19th and December 20, 2023, respectively. São Paulo will become the carrier’s fifth destination in the Americas where flights will operate with their newest cabin class, while Tokyo becomes the second Far East destination to feature the product. Additionally, São Paulo becomes the 13th destination to feature Emirates newly retrofitted flagship Airbus A380 aircraft. With the addition of the two cities, Premium Economy will now be available on flights to 14 destinations.


Starting November 19, 2023, customers traveling between Dubai and São Paulo can book Emirates’ Premium Economy seats on flights EK261/262, which will initially operate three times weekly before ramping up to daily service in December. Premium Economy seats will also be available for booking on daily flights EK318/319 to and from Tokyo-Narita starting December 20, 2023. The aircraft that will be deployed to São Paulo and Tokyo-Narita will be configured in four classes with 56 Premium Economy seats located main deck forward in a 2-4-2 configuration, 338 Economy Class and 76 Business Class Seats, as well as 14 First Class suites.


Currently, Emirates flies Airbus A380s configured with Premium Economy seats to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York-JFK, Houston and San Francisco. Starting October 29, 2023, the popular offering will also be available on flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru. In addition to luxurious seats, Premium Economy guests enjoy a host of other features, including more legroom, premium dining and beverages, along with other perks and value-added benefits.


Emirates currently offers daily São Paulo-Dubai service, allowing seamless connections via Dubai to over 130 destinations worldwide. The carrier also offers Boeing 777 service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, which also connects travelers to Buenos Aires. Additionally, the carrier serves three gateways in Japan with daily flights to Tokyo-Narita, Tokyo-Haneda and Osaka-Kansai.
