Emirates Resumes Flights and Increases Frequencies to the Americas

The carrier will resume service to Seattle from February 1st and to Dallas and San Francisco starting March 2nd. Emirates will also increase frequencies to New York, Los Angeles from February 1st and to São Paulo from February 5, 2021.

On Monday (January 11, 2021), Emirates announced that they will resume services and increase frequencies to the Americas. The carrier will resume flights to Seattle from February 1st and to Dallas and San Francisco starting March 2, 2021. The resumed services expand Emirates North American network to 10 destinations including Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York-JFK, Toronto and Washington D.C. Service to San Francisco will operate four times weekly and the route will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER. Seattle service will operate four times weekly, while flights to Dallas will be available three times weekly and both routes will be serviced with a two-class Boeing 777-200LR configured with 38 lie-flat Business and 264 Economy Class seats.


Additionally, Emirates will increase frequencies to New York, Los Angeles from February 1st. The carrier will offer double daily flights to New York-JFK and daily service to Los Angeles with seamless onward connections via their codeshare partners JetBlue and Alaska Airlines. Frequencies to São Paulo will also be increased to five weekly flights from February 5, 2021, offering guests onward connections to 24 other Brazilian cities via their codeshare partner GOL and interline agreements with Azul and LATAM. Emirates currently serves 114 destinations on six continents.


Emirates’ guests purchasing tickets for travel on or before June 30, 2021 will enjoy generous rebooking terms and options if their plans change due to unexpected COVID-19 related flight or travel restrictions, including the ability to change travel dates or extend ticket validity for up to two years. The carrier has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the guest journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of their guests and team members. Emirates also distributes complimentary hygiene kits which include masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes.


Additionally, Emirates has launched an industry-first multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 cover, allowing customers to travel with confidence and greater peace of mind. The complimentary coverage is available on all tickets purchased from December 1st, 2020 through the end of the program (as specified on Emirates.com) and includes COVID-19 medical cover, provisions for personal accidents during travel, winter sports cover, loss of personal belongings and trip disruptions. Emirates’ guests requiring a COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure from Dubai can receive special pricing at clinics across Dubai by presenting their ticket or boarding pass. Home testing is also available, with results in 48 hours.
