Emirates Opens New Dedicated Lounge In Dubai for Unaccompanied Minors
Young travelers flying with Emirates as unaccompanied minors can now enjoy a new dedicated lounge at Dubai International Airport as they wait for their flight. The lounge features video games, snacks and drinks, comfortable seating and Wi-Fi.
On Friday (February 11, 2022), Emirates announced the opening of a newly upgraded dedicated lounge for young travelers flying as unaccompanied minors at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The lounge is located next to Emirates’ First Class Lounge in Concourse B is open 24/7. Young visitors can enjoy fun video games, snacks and beverages, comfortable seating areas, free Wi-Fi and washrooms designed for kids. Parents or guardians who have booked Emirates’ Unaccompanied Minor Service can drop their kids off at Terminal 3, where Emirates’ airport team will check them in for their flights in a special lounge area for unaccompanied minors located in between the Economy and First/Business Class check-in halls.
Once check-in is completed, an Emirates’ team member will escort the young flyers through immigration and security, and then onward to the dedicated departure lounge in the airside concourse. Later, they will also be accompanied from the lounge to the departure gate. Emirates’ youngest guests enjoy priority boarding and will be welcomed by cabin crew at the aircraft door and escorted to their seats to settle in for their flight. During the flight, junior travelers can look forward to delicious meals and snacks, designed for young palates, along with toys, activity packs, and kid-sized headsets to enjoy over 50 Disney movies and 130+ TV channels for kids. Additionally, Emirates is currently offering young flyers cool take-home toys and bags onboard, inspired by Expo 2020 Dubai and featuring Emirates characters.

Unaccompanied minors connecting in Dubai are also well cared for while in transit. Emirates’ friendly ground services team will meet and escort them from their flight to one of the dedicated lounges for unaccompanied minors, and later to their connecting flight. Emirates’ Unaccompanied Minor Service must be booked in advance of travel and is available for children aged 5-11 traveling without an adult, as well as young travelers between 12 and 15 years old.
