Emerald Airlines has today reported their first-ever operating profit of €9.6 million for FY2024. This is a significant turnaround compared to a (€7.6) million operating loss in 2023.

On Tuesday (November 25, 2025), Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, announced a landmark achievement in only their third year of operations, having delivered a first-ever operating profit. For the year ending 2024, Emerald Airlines reported an operating profit of €9.6 million, a significant turnaround from a (€7.6) million operating loss in 2023. In Tuesday’s announcement, Emerald Airlines’ CEO, Keith Butler, said,
“Emerald Airlines operates the most extensive Aer Lingus Regional network in history. At Dublin Airport, we now account for over 25% of all Aer Lingus departures, and together with our Belfast operations and Cork routes, we have become a well-established and trusted travel choice.“With the start-up phase now complete, Emerald Airlines is entering a new chapter of disciplined, market-led growth. We will be focusing on expanding our flying under the Aer Lingus Regional franchise while selectively pursuing new opportunities across the European regional market.”
Established in 2021, Emerald Airlines serves as the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Regional route network, providing connectivity to/from Ireland, UK and France. The carrier offers a comprehensive range of services, including franchise operations, wet leasing and private charter flights.
