Emerald Airlines Celebrates One Million Passengers In Less Than 12 Months Since Inaugural Flight

Since their inaugural flight between Donegal and Dublin less than 12 months ago, Emerald Airlines has carried one million passengers. To mark the occasion, the Brady Family traveling on flight EI3304 from Dublin to Southampton received four complimentary return tickets.

On Monday (January 16, 2023), Emerald Airlines announced that since their inaugural flight between Donegal and Dublin on February 26, 2022, the carrier has carried one million guests. Marking the milestone, the carrier awarded the lucky Brady Family traveling on flight EI3304 from Dublin Airport to Southampton with four complimentary return tickets to use anywhere in the Emerald Airlines/Aer Lingus Regional network. Since launching in February 2022, Emerald has grown substantially, and by summer 2023 will offer 25 routes, with 15 from Dublin and 10 from Belfast for a total of over 580 weekly flights.


In Monday’s announcement, Emerald Airlines’ Executive Chairman, Conor McCarthy, said,


“Today is a tremendous milestone for us at Emerald Airlines. Having only operated our very first flight less than 12 months ago, to have just welcomed our one millionth passenger in such a short time frame is a really great achievement by the whole team here at Emerald. We wish the Brady Family a really enjoyable trip and we look forward to welcoming them on board many times more in the future!”


Emerald Airlines will offer over 1.5 million seats for summer 2023, and will operate new routes from Belfast to Jersey and Newquay, and will also increase frequencies on popular routes, including a doubling of seats from Dublin to Southampton and Jersey. Additionally, the carrier has added more flights on high frequency routes such as Dublin-Glasgow, Dublin-Edinburgh, Belfast-Manchester, and Belfast-Birmingham. Customers traveling with Emerald Airlines on the Aer Lingus Regional route network will also enjoy seamless transatlantic connectivity with Aer Lingus via Dublin Airport. \
