Edelweiss to Bolster Service to Egypt for the Winter 2023/24 Season

Edelweiss will increase service to Egypt this winter with 23 weekly flights, including daily service to Hurghada wit double-daily flights on weekends, twice weekly service to Luxor, three weekly flights to Marsa and Alam, and four weekly flights to Sharm El Sheikh.

On Thursday (July 13, 2023), Edelweiss announced an expansion of service to Egypt for the winter 2023/24 season with 23 weekly flights. The carrier will offer daily service to Hurghada with twice daily flights on weekends, twice weekly service to Luxor, three weekly flights to both Marsa and Alam, and four weekly flights to Sharm El Sheikh. The carrier is also bolstering service to Spain and the Canary Islands with daily service to Tenerife and Grand Canaria, including double daily flights on weekends. Additionally, Edelweiss will offer four weekly flights to Fuerteventura, three weekly flights to Lanzarote, and twice weekly flights to La Palma, as well as up to five weekly flights to Mallorca, four weekly flights to Seville, and up to three weekly flights to Faro in Portugal.


Holiday destinations in Morocco will also be served with additional capacity for winter 2023/2024, including new twice-weekly direct service to Agadir from February 2024. Edelweiss will also fly up to six times per week to Marrakech, and up to seven times weekly to Larnaca on Cyprus. For customers seeking a magical winter experience, the airline is also expanding service to Norway and Iceland. Tromsø and Bergen in Norway will be served three and two times per week, respectively, while Reykjavik/Keflavik in Iceland will be served three times weekly. Edelweiss will also offer up to four weekly flights to Edinburgh, Scotland for winter.


The airline’s long-haul winter timetable includes new holiday destinations in Colombia with service to Bogotá and Cartagena, as well as a wider range of destinations in the U.S., Thailand and South Africa. In total, Edelweiss’ winter 2023/24 flying program includes 57 destinations in 32 countries.
