Edelweiss has today launched new direct service between Zurich and Boa Vista in the Cape Verde Islands. The route will be operated once weekly on Mondays through March 2023, becoming the carrier’s second Cape Verde destination after Sal.
On Monday (October 31, 2022), Edelweiss announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Zurich and Boa Vista in the Cape Verde Islands. The new nonstop route will operate once weekly on Mondays through March 2023, and becomes the carrier's second Cape Verde destination after Sal. Shortly before takeoff this morning, a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the gate with Zurich Airport’s Vice President Aviation Development, and Edelweiss’ Chief Commercial Officer, Patrick Heymann, and other guests. With the addition of Boa Vista, Edelweiss expands their short and medium-haul network to 63 destinations.
Speaking at today’s route launch ceremony, Edelweiss’ Chief Commercial Officer, Patrick Heymann, said,
“I am delighted that with Boa Vista we are flying to another fantastic island in Cape Verde. Our guests will be just as enthusiastic about this pearl of Cape Verde, as the island is also known, as I am.”
