On Thursday (June 19, 2025), Edelweiss announced the addition of three new holiday destinations for the winter 2026/26 season.  The carrier will offer new service to Luleå in the Swedish Lapland where visitors can enjoy experiences such as the Northern Lights, dog sledding and cross-country skiing.  With its Gammelstad Church Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and well-developed infrastructure, Luleå is also an ideal starting point for winter tours through Swedish Lapland.

Edelweiss will also add service to São Vicente and Praia in Cape Verde, joining existing service to the Cape Verde Islands of Sal and Boa Vista.  São Vicente and Praia offer the perfect starting points for island hopping.   São Vicente and its neighboring island of Santo Antão, which are conveniently connected by ferry, are known as nature and hiking paradises.  The capital Praia on the island of Santiago is the political and economic centre of Cape Verde.  Santiago is one of the most culturally interesting islands in the archipelago, offering a variety of insights into history and everyday life.  From there, travelers can easily reach the nearby island of Fogo with its impressive volcano.

Additionally, thanks to a third and fourth Airbus A350, Edelweiss will offer enhancements on select long-haul routes.  Flights to Muscat and Salalah in Oman will now be served nonstop from September 2025 through May 2026, while Colombo in Sri Lanka will be served once again after a three year hiatus with two weekly flights.  Edelweiss will also increase capacities to Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Montego Bay, Cape Verde, and Maldives (flights to the Maldives will now be all nonstop).

Edelweiss’ winter 2025/26 short haul network will focus on Europe and North Africa.  All Canary Islands destinations will receive additional frequencies during the peak period.  Gran Canaria and Tenerife will be served up to 11 times weekly, while Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will see four weekly flights, and La Palma will be served with up to two weekly flights.  Bilbao is now on offer throughout winter, and flights to Palma de Mallorca will operate up to six times per week.  Additionally, the popular destinations of Pristina, Skopje, Split and Larnaca will also receive additional capacity.  Catania in Sicily and Lamezia, Calabria will also be served by several weekly flights throughout the year.

In Morocco, Marrakesh will be served by up to six weekly flights and Agadir by two, while in Egypt, Hurghada will be increased to up to 13 weekly flights and Marsa Alam to four.   Flights to Sharm El Sheikh will operate twice weekly, Luxor once, and Giza/Cairo Sphinx will also be served twice weekly.

Flights to Evenes/Lofoten will operate twice weekly during the second half of winter, and the start of the season for the Finnish destinations Rovaniemi and Ivalo will be brought forward to the beginning of December.  In Iceland, Kittilä, Kuusamo, Tromsø and Reykjavik will also continue to be served.  Additionally, Bristol will receive two weekly connections in February in addition to the summer flights, and the number of flights to Edinburgh will be increased.  Finally, seasonal service to Heraklion, Kalamata, Antalya, Cagliari and Ponta Delgada will be extended into November with additional flights.
