easyJet Appoints David Morgan as Chief Operating Officer on a Permanent Basis

Following a comprehensive review process, easyJet has permanently appointed David Morgan as the carrier’s Chief Operating Officer, and Member of the Airline’s Management Board.

On Thursday (December 1st, 2022), easyJet announced that following a comprehensive review process, David Morgan has been permanently appointed as the carrier’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), and will also sit on the Airline Management Board. Mr. Morgan joined easyJet as Chief Pilot in 2016, and has since served as an integral part of easyJet’s leadership team. He has substantial airline industry experience, and has served as interim COO since the beginning of July 2022. During his time as interim COO, Mr. Morgan has provided strong operational leadership, achieving performance even better than the same period in 2019.


easyJet carries nearly 100 million passengers annually on around 1,000 routes to over 150 airports across 35 countries. The airline has a fleet of over 300 aircraft, and over 300 million Europeans live within an hour’s drive of an airport served by easyJet. The popular low-cost carrier (LCC) is dedicated to innovation and leads the industry in digital, web, engineering and operational efficiencies. easyJet was named “Britain’s Most Admired Company” in the transport sector for 2020, based on the longest running annual corporate reputation study in the UK.
