Dominique Fehlmann Takes on Expanded Leadership Role at SWISS

urrently serving as SWISS’s Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, Dominque Fehlmann will assume further responsibilities as the airline’s Head of Business Development & Executive Office, effective June 15, 2021.

On Friday (June 11, 2021), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), announced that Dominique Fehlmann, who currently serves as Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, will take on a dual role, with additional responsibilities as the carrier’s Head of Business Development & Executive Office. She will assume the additional responsibilities from June 15, 2021, succeeding Christian Sigg, who becomes SWISS’s Head of Revenue Steering on the same date. In her expanded role, Dominique Fehlmann will take on additional responsibilities for SWISS’s strategic and organizational development, corporate responsibility, innovation and digitalization.


In Friday’s announcement SWISS’s CEO, Dieter Vranckx, said,


“In establishing this new dual function, we are bringing both a better future alignment and even greater efficiency to our CEO Division. The new arrangement streamlines our leadership structure and will ensure even closer collaborations between these two departments. And I am delighted that, in Dominique Fehlmann, we have assigned such an experienced and excellently connected leader to this demanding duty portfolio. I wish her every success and satisfaction in her new capacity.”


Dominique Fehlmann joined SWISS in 2010, and in her current role as Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance is responsible for the company’s Legal Department and the further development of the SWISS Group’s corporate governance and compliance structures. Previously, she served as the airline’s legal counsel in areas such as intellectual property rights, technical services, cargo, e-commerce and the Miles & More loyalty program. Before joining SWISS, Fehlmann worked as an attorney for two Zurich-based corporate law firms from 2005 through 2010. Additionally, she has completed an LL.M. master’s degree in Sydney and Shanghai and previously studied law in Paris and Fribourg, earning a Swiss licentiate in law and a French Maîtrise en Droit. Mrs. Fehlmann is a native of Zurich and the married mother of one daughter.
