For winter 2024/25, Discover Airlines will become the first European airline to offer direct service to Tulum, Mexico. The Frankfurt-Tulum route will operate twice weekly, complementing Discover’s four weekly flights to Cancún.
On Thursday (February 22, 2024), Discover Airlines announced the launch of new direct service between Frankfurt and the newly opened Tulum Felipe Carrillo Puerto Airport in Mexico. Starting December 12, 2024, Discover will become the first European airline to offer nonstop service to Tulum, with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays through April 2025. The new Tulum service will complement the carrier’s four weekly flights between Frankfurt and Cancún. After the approximately 12 hour flight, travelers will arrive in the dream Yucatán Peninsula destination, known for well-preserved Mayan ruins, picturesque beaches and turquoise waters.
In the past, European customers wishing to visit Tulum could only do so via connecting flights in Mexico or the U.S. With the new Frankfurt-Tulum route, Discover Airlines is responding to strong demand from Germany and across Europe. Additionally, with the full integration of Discover Airlines with Lufthansa's network, travelers throughout Europe will have more convenient access to Tulum than ever before. Flights one the Frankfurt-Tulum route are now bookable on the Discover or Lufthansa websites, with all German tour operators, and at travel agencies.
