Delta Air Lines to Launch New Service Between New York-JFK and Porto, Portugal

Starting May 21, 2026, Delta will launch their first-ever daily service between New York-JFK and Porto, Portugal.  The route will be operated with a Boeing 767-300 featuring Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.

On Friday (September 26, 2025), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of their first-ever daily nonstop service between New York (JFK) and Porto Portugal.  Porto is part of seven new European routes the carrier is launching next summer, giving customers even more opportunities to explore Europe.  The Porto route will be operated with a Boeing 767-300 featuring Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins.  Delta also connects the U.S. to Lisbon with daily year-round service from New York-JFK and seasonal daily service from Boston.


In Friday’s announcement, Delta’s SVP – Network Planning, Pail Baldoni, said,


“Delta’s new nonstop service from JFK to Porto is part of seven new European routes launching next summer, giving customers even more opportunities to experience Europe and enjoy our award-winning service and premium onboard experience.  Whether discovering Portugal or traveling to our other new destinations such as Sardinia and Malta, these additions expand choice for our customers and reinforce JFK’s role as a leading global gateway.”


Also commenting on the launch of Delta’s new Porto route, ANA Aeroportos de Portugal’s Chief Commercial Officer, Karen Strougo, said,


“We are proud to welcome one of the world’s leading airlines to Porto.  Delta Air Lines’ decision to invest in the Porto Region is a strong endorsement of the growing relevance of this market, which has more than doubled since 2019 and is set to grow over 20% this year alone. This is yet another significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen Porto's position as a gateway to the Northwest Iberian Peninsula.”
