The inaugural flight took place on Saturday December 21, 2019 and the route is served with a Boeing 757-200 configured with 20 First Class, 29 Delta Comfort+ and 150 Main Cabin seats. “The most rewarding part of working for an airline is being able to offer services that bring families together while providing them with a stress-free and entertaining flight experience, and this is what our new daily, year-round service will do just in time for the holidays. We want to thank our customers for their loyalty and wish each of them a happy holiday season and the best for the new year. For 2020 and beyond, we look forward to providing business travelers, tourists and the Colombian community with award-winning service on this new route and to connecting points throughout the world from our New York-JFK hub.”

Over the last decade, Delta has increased their New York footprint by over 65% and currently operates 520 peak-day departures from LaGuardia and JFK. The airline also launched service from JFK to Mumbai, India on December 22, 2019. Delta is committed to providing an outstanding experience for customers at every point of their journey, regardless of their selected cabin. First Class passengers enjoy new seasonal menus and can pre-select meals ahead of their departure. Delta Comfort+ offers up to three more inches of legroom (compared to Main Cabin), early boarding and dedicated overhead bin space. All customers enjoy the seatback Delta Studio IFE which has thousands of hours of free content, satellite TV and now features Disney+.
