Delta Air Lines Appoints Dan Janki as New Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Delta Air Lines has appointed Dan Janki as the airline’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Janki joins the company from General Electric where he currently serves as SVP and CEO of GE Power Portfolio.

On Friday (May 21, 2021), Delta Air Lines announced the appointment of Dan Janki as the carrier’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As Delta’s top finance leader, Mr. Janki will oversee financial reporting, the controller organization, corporate audit, financial planning, fleet and TechOps supply chain, fuel management (including Delta’s refinery), investor relations, supply chain management and treasury. Dan Janki joins Delta from a career of over 25 years with General Electric, where he currently serves as SVP and CEO of GE Power Portfolio.

In a memo to employees welcoming Mr. Janki, Delta Air Lines’ CEO, Ed Bastian, said,


“Dan is known for his close working relationship with his teams and a strong customer focus. He shares our spirit of innovation and collaboration, and our values of servant leadership, honesty, integrity and respect for all.”


Expressing gratitude to the airline’s interim co-CFOs, Gary Chase and Bill Carroll, Mr. Bastian added,


“Their collaboration and support of our world-class Finance organization has been instrumental in our progression through the recovery. I’m proud of the great work of our finance team throughout the pandemic and how they have positioned Delta to emerge stronger.”

Also commenting on his new appointment, Delta’s new EVP and Chief Financial Officer, Dan Janki, said,


“I’m thrilled to join Delta’s talented team, renowned for its innovative, collaborative and people-centric culture. As a longtime frequent flyer and corporate business partner, I have a deep appreciation for Delta’s strong commitment to its customers, and its reliable and trusted service. Dan Janki lives in Atlanta with his wife Terri and three children. He will join Delta on July 12, 2021.
