Condor Launches Service to the Dominican Republic and Maldives Just in Time for Christmas

The German leisure airline will offer three weekly flights between Frankfurt and Punta Cana as well as one weekly flight to Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo from December 18, 2020. Condor will also operate two weekly flights from Frankfurt to the Maldives.

On Friday (November 27, 2020), German leisure airline Condor announced the launch of service to the Dominican Republic and the Maldives just in time for Christmas. The airline will offer three weekly flights between Frankfurt and Punta Cana, as well as one weekly flight to Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo from December 18, 2020. Condor will also operate service between Frankfurt and the Maldives with two weekly flights. Additionally, the airline is increasing frequencies to the Canary Islands from Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich with service to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Fran Canaria, La Palma, Tenerife and Madeira. In Friday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Ralf Teckentrup, said,


“We can see from our flights to Cuba that the Germans want to travel - and responsible travel is possible throughout the entire trip thanks to extensive protective measures and hygiene concepts. We are delighted to add one of the most popular destinations for Condor customers, the Dominican Republic, to our flight schedule again this year. So, nothing stands in the way of a winter vacation on Caribbean dream beaches.”


From December 18, 2020, Condor will offer flights to Varadero (Cuba) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Punta Cana on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and Santo Domingo on Sundays. Flights to the Maldives will operate on Mondays and Saturdays.

Customers will continue to enjoy Condor’s product and service experience with a varied menu and wine selection in Business Class, additional legroom in Premium Economy and the usual service in Economy Class. Additionally, the carrier’s reduced Flex fare option allows up to three rebookings per flight for only €50.
