On Tuesday, Condor Airlines announced new summer 2020 service from Frankfurt to Edmonton in Alberta, Canada as well as the restart of long-haul service from Munich.
Yesterday, Condor Airlines announced the addition of new service to Edmonton in Alberta, Canada from Frankfurt for the summer 2020 season. The new nonstop service will operate on Mondays and Thursdays. Service from Frankfurt to New Orleans will resume on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while service to Barbados and Tobago will resume on Saturdays. Additionally, the popular German leisure airline has reintroduced long-haul service from Munich and a Condor Boeing 767-300 will be stationed at the Bavarian state capital from May 2020. From Munich, service will be available to Cancun on Mondays, Halifax on Fridays, Punta Cana on Wednesdays and Seattle on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In Tuesday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Ralf Teckentrup said,
“With the additional long-haul flights next summer, we are ideally expanding our existing summer flight schedule 2020 – not only with the new destination Edmonton in Canada from Frankfurt, but also with the non-stop connections from Munich. We are thus offering our guests in Southern Germany an even greater selection of direct connections to their holidays and our strengthening our presence in Munich with a stationed long-haul aircraft."
Including the current winter 2019/2020 schedule, Condor will now be offering service to Cancun (Mexico) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) year-round from Frankfurt and Munich. With the new Frankfort-Edmonton service, the airline now offers six Canadian destinations from Frankfurt including Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Whitehouse and Halifax. Service to Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada is available from both Frankfurt and Munich. Although we have highlighted new or updated services here, Condor Airlines will serve over 30 destinations from Frankfurt in their summer 2020 schedule.
Condor also recently announced new short and medium-haul service to Paphos (Cyprus), Tivat (Montenegro) and Toulon in France. Service to Paphos in Cyprus is available on Mondays and Fridays from Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Leipzig. Frankfurt service to Tivat in Montenegro is available on Tuesdays and Fridays, while flights to Toulon, France are available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
