In creating this unique cocktail collection, Matthias Giroud drew inspiration from Air France’s core values of elegance, pleasure and respect. Crafted with French ingredients, the cocktails offer authentic flavors that balance tradition with modernity.
In Thursday’s announcement, Matthias Giroud, said,
“It’s an honour for me to have been chosen to create this first exclusive collection of La Première signature cocktails. Air France embodies the excellence of French expertise and elegance, taking gastronomy to the four corners of the world. A world of travel that has always inspired me to create unique cocktail experiences.”
In a first for Air France, Mixologist Matthias Giroud has designed three signature cocktails – one recipe with alcohol, one with low alcohol content, and a third alcohol-free version. These cocktails will be delivered by cabin crew in a new, exclusively designed glass, that enhances the tasting experience. To introduce the new collection to guests onboard, the three cocktails will be presented in an elegant, custom-made box.

The first cocktail, Belle Époque, is a bitter and zesty alcoholic cocktail, a reinterpretation of the Negroni with orange hydrosol. The low-alcohol selection, Parfum de France, is a sweet and fruity cocktail, inspired by the world of wine (Chardonnay and Muscat) featuring raspberry liqueur and a hint of verbena. Finally, the alcohol-free choice, L’Éveil, is a tangy and spicy cocktail, made from cranberry juice infused with mint, lime juice, aromatic leaf bouquet and ginger.

Air France’s new signature cocktail collection complements the refined dining experience available onboard in La Première. The menu has been designed by triple Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement, and World Pastry Chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Angelo Musa. Additionally, a selection of French wines, champagnes, beers and spirits is chosen by Air France’s Sommelier, Xavier Thuizat, who is also Head Sommelier of the Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel and Meilleur Sommelier de France 2022. For summer 2025, La Première is available on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Abidjan, Dubai, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, San Francisco, São Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo-Haneda and Washington DC.
