Brussels Airlines Announces New Codeshare Agreement With Aeroflot

On Tuesday, Brussels Airlines announced a new codeshare agreement with Russian flag carrier Aeroflot. The agreement will provide more choices for customers when traveling between Brussels and Moscow.

Brussels Airlines announced today the start of a new codeshare partnership with Russian flag carrier Aeroflot. Tickets are currently available for purchase for travel commencing January 20, 2020. Aeroflot customers traveling to Brussels can now make seamless connections on flights throughout the Brussels Airline’s entire network. Similarly, passengers traveling from Brussels will enjoy better connections to Moscow and throughout Aeroflot’s global network. Customers with connecting flights will also benefit from ‘through check-in’ allowing them to check their baggage at departure and reclaim it when they reach their destination. Aeroflot’s base at Sheremetyevo International Airport is close to Moscow’s city center providing a convenient choice for leisure and business travelers when visiting the Russian capital.


Aeroflot serves 149 destinations in 53 countries and has a fleet 247 aircraft. The airline’s fleet is the youngest in the world of any airline with over 100 aircraft. The Russian flag carrier carried 35.8M customers in 2018 and when combined with Aeroflot Group subsidiaries served 55.7M customers. Aeroflot is a member of the SkyTeam alliance, holds a four-star rating from Skytrax and was named ‘Best Airline in Eastern Europe’ at the 2019 Skytrax World Airline Awards. Additionally, the carrier has a five-star rating from APEX, the Airline Passenger Experience Association and has received a five-star rating for punctuality from the global travel data provider OAG.
