In Wednesday’s announcement, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances, Neil Chernoff, said,
“After a difficult 18 months, it’s fantastic to be in a position to launch two new routes next summer from Heathrow. These two Islands in the Azores will be the perfect addition to our network, offering more choice in one of the most popular regions in Europe for British sunseekers.”
Return fares to São Miguel or Terceira both start at £79 in Euro Traveller and £208 in Club Europe.
Both routes will be operated with an Airbus A320, offering up to 180 seats per flight. Guests traveling in British Airways’ Euro Traveller (economy) can pre-purchase items from the Speedbird Café, including a range from Tom Kerridge, or order additional snacks and beverages directly to their seat using a personal mobile device.
