BOC Aviation Signs Sale and Leaseback Agreement with SKY Airline for Three Airbus A321XLRs

BOC Aviation has announced that SKY Airline of Chile has signed a sale and leaseback agreement for three Airbus A321 XLRs on long-term lease.

On Wednesday (April 8, 2026), BOC Aviation Limited announced the signing of a sale and leaseback agreement with SKY Airline for three Airbus A321XLRs on long-term operating leases. The aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, with delivery scheduled for 2026 and 2027. Founded in 2001 in Chile, SKY Airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, serving over 40 destinations across the Americas through their subsidiaries in Chile and Peru.
In Wednesday’s announcement, BOC Aviation’s Managing Director, Steven Townend, said,
“We are very pleased to welcome SKY as a new customer for BOC Aviation as it continues to build its fleet of latest generation, most fuel-efficient aircraft. The Airbus A321XLR is a great example of this, and these aircraft mark the first of this model currently scheduled for delivery into our fleet.”
Also commenting on the transaction, SKY Airline’s CEO, Daniel Belaunde, said,
“We are proud to partner with BOC Aviation in this agreement, which supports SKY’s continued growth and our commitment to operating one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the region. The addition of the Airbus A321XLR will allow us to further expand our network, offering more direct and affordable travel options while maintaining our focus on efficiency, sustainability, and a high-quality customer experience.”
