BOC Aviation Signs Purchase and Leaseback Transaction for Eight New Airbus A320neos With IndiGo

BOC Aviation has signed a purchase-and-leaseback transaction with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) for eight new Airbus A320neo aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2021 and will be powered by CFM Leap engines.

On Monday (March 1, 2021), BOC Aviation Limited announced the signing of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) for eight new Airbus A320neos. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2021 and will be powered by CFM Leap engines. Speaking on the transaction, IndiGo’s Chief Aircraft and Financing Officer, Mr. Riyaz Peermohamed, said,


“We are pleased to further strengthen our existing relationship with BOC Aviation. The addition of these eight A320NEO aircraft demonstrates our confidence in the future growth of the aviation market in India.”


Also commenting on the financing agreement, BOC Aviation’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Robert martin, added,


“We are delighted to partner once again with IndiGo, India’s largest passenger airline, as we continue to support our airline customers to finance their aircraft deliveries. This incremental capital expenditure also reflects our disciplined investment strategy throughout the cycle, focused on building a portfolio of latest technology aircraft.”
