BOC Aviation has announced the placement of three Boeing 737-8 MAX airplanes on lease to LOT Polish Airlines, a new customer for the aircraft lessor. The three aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines and are scheduled for delivery in 2025.
On Thursday (August 8, 2024), BOC Aviation Limited announced the placement of three Boeing 737-8 MAX jets on lease to LOT Polish Airlines, a first-time customer for the aircraft lessor. Scheduled for delivery in 2025, the three aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.
In Thursday’s announcement BOC Aviation’s Managing Director and CRO, Steven Townend, said,
“We are delighted to welcome LOT, Poland’s flag carrier and one of the most recognisable Polish brands, to our customer base. As a global lessor, we are constantly building relationships with airline customers around the world and diversifying our lessee network. These aircraft will support the LOT growth strategy with one of the world’s most popular and fuel-efficient single-aisle jets.”
Founded in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is the 12th oldest airline in the world, and one of the internationally most recognized Polish brands. LOT is a modern network airline connecting Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the world, including destinations across the U.S. Canada, China, Japan and South Korea. The carrier operates their long-haul flights with state-of-the art Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
