BOC Aviation Places Three Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft on Lease to Akasa Air

BOC Aviation has announced that they have agreed to purchase and leaseback three Boeing 737-8 MAX jets to new customer Akasa Air on long-term operating leases.

On Tuesday (November 4, 2025), BOC Aviation Limited announced that they have agreed to purchase and leaseback three Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to new customer Akasa Air on long-term operating leases. All aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, and the first delivery is scheduled for January 2026.
In Tuesday’s announcement, BOC Aviation’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Kent, said,
“We are pleased to welcome Akasa as a new customer for BOC Aviation at this exciting stage of their development. The Boeing 737-8 is one of the world’s most popular single-aisle jets, and this transaction leverages our ability to provide capital to support our customers’ fleet expansion.”
Also commenting on the sale and leaseback transaction, Akasa Air’s Chief of Governance & Strategic Acquisitions, Priya Mehra, said,
