Avianca is launching daily service between San Jose Costa Rica and Miami, Florida starting July 1st, 2021. The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 configured with 150 seats.
On Friday (April 9, 2021), Avianca announced the launch of new daily service between San Jose, Costa Rica and Miami, Florida starting July 1st, 2021. The daily flights will be operated with an Airbus A320 configured with 150 seats, offering over 8,000 seats monthly. The new route announcement is part of Avianca’s strategy to offer direct flights between key regional markets and simplifying their product offer to make it more convenient for guests. The daily flight (AV690) will depart San Jose at 10:35 and arrive in Miami at 15:38. The return flight (AV691) depart Miami at 14:20 and arrives in San Jose at 15:23 (all times local, and operations are subject to government approval).
In Friday’s announcement, Avianca’s Managing Director – North America and Asia, Rolando Damas, said,
“We see this as an important opportunity to strengthen connectivity options for passengers traveling between Miami and Costa Rica, which leads us to initiate a direct operation between the two markets in July. This decision also responds to a recurring request from passengers.”
The new route will strengthen Avianca’s point-to-point connectivity between Costa Rica and Florida and tickets are now available for purchase through the carrier’s website and travel agents.
