Avianca Inaugurates New Direct Service Between Bogotá and Dallas

Avianca has launched new nonstop service between Bogotá and Dallas-Fort Worth.  The route will now operate four times weekly with a 180-seat Airbus A320, providing over 1,400 seats per week.  With the Dallas service, Avianca now offers 19 direct routes to the U.S.

On Tuesday (May 27, 2025), Avianca announced the launch of new service between Bogotá and Dallas-Fort Worth.  The route will now operate four times per week with a 180-seat Airbus A320.  With the addition of Dallas, Avianca now offers 19 direct routes between Colombia and the U.S., including Barranquilla-Miami, Bogotá-Boston, Bogotá-Dallas, Bogotá-Fort Lauderdale, Bogotá-Washington, Bogotá-New ​​York, Bogotá-Orlando, Bogotá-Miami, Bogotá-Chicago, Bogotá-Tampa, Cali-New York, Cali-Miami, Cartagena-New York, Cartagena-Miami, Medellín-Fort Lauderdale, Medellín-New York, Medellín, Orlando, Medellín Miami and Pereira-New York.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Avianca’s CEO, Frederico Pedreira, said,


“With the opening of this important direct route between Bogotá and Dallas, we are consolidating more options for our travelers, as we add 43 routes to the United States from Colombia, Central America, and Ecuador.  We also have 14 destinations to the United States: New York, Washington, Ontario, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las VegasThis growth not only expands service options for the benefit of our customers, but also consolidates us as one of the airlines with the greatest presence in the region.”
