Avelo Airlines will launch new service between Tweed-New Haven Airport and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport on January 13, 2022. Flights will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and the route will be operated with a Boeing 737-700.
On Thursday (October 21, 2021), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of service between Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) starting January 14, 2022. Sarasota will become Avelo’s sixth Florida destination, complementing previously announced service to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Palm Beach and Tampa. Flights to Sarasota will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and the route will be operated with a single-class 147 passenger Boeing 737-700NG. Celebrating the launch of the new route, Avelo is offering introductory one-way fares from $49. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be booked by November 4, 2021 (there are additional fees for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats and other ancillary services).
In Thursday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

Also commenting on the new service between New Haven and Sarasota, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Piccolo, said,

With low fares and convenient nonstop service, passengers will have an affordable connection between two high-demand destinations.
