Austrian Airlines will offer service to 120 destinations for summer 2023, including seven new and resumed destinations including Porto, Marseille, Billund, Tivat, Palermo, Vilnius and Tromsø.
On Wednesday (November 9, 2022), Austrian Airlines announced that they will serve 120 destinations for summer 2023, with 1,270 weekly frequencies from Vienna. The schedule will also include seven new and resumed destinations, namely Porto, Marseille, Billund, Tivat, Palermo, Vilnius and Tromsø, with each route to be operated up to three times weekly. For summer 2023, Austrian will also offer a total of 43 destinations and nearly 300 weekly flights to the Mediterranean, as well as long-haul service to popular destinations such as Los Angeles.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Austrian Airlines; CCO, Michael Trestl, said,
“The growth of four new A320neo aircraft will be visible in the summer flight schedule. More aircrafts make more destinations possible. The Austrian team has proven that we are ready to fly, so we are starting 2023 with high ambitions. We have taken advantage of the crisis and positioned ourselves competitively. With all determination, we are significantly expanding our point-to-point traffic in summer 2023, once again underlining our position as the clear number 1 in Austria. We are the most charming and trustful travel partner and consistently continue our course to connect Austria with the most beautiful places in Europe as well as the entire world in the best possible way. With a successful summer 2022 season, increasing liquidity, and a credit line from the Lufthansa Group, Austrian Airlines will fully repay a government-backed loan received in 2020 earlier than required. With gratitude to the Austrian People, the carrier has launched a ‘Thank You Austria’ sales campaign for all Economy Lite Fare bookings until November 20, 2022, for travel from November 7, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
