For the first time the carrier will also launch one weekly Saturday flight between Berlin and Innsbruck, and will also increase service between Berlin and Vienna. In total, the Lufthansa Group will serve the Tyrolean winter paradise with up to 48 weekly connections during the peak ski season from Vienna, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Austrian Airlines will also expand the Vienna-Berlin route with an additional Saturday flight around the semester break, benefitting both tourists and customers connecting to onward flights via Vienna.

In Friday’s announcement, Austrian Airlines’ CCO, Michael Trestl, said,

“With this seasonal service, we are giving our flight program to Berlin an upgrade. Our winter sports-savvy passengers will enjoy the convenience of a direct connection to Tyrol.
