Austrian Airlines has taken deliver of their fourth of four Airbus A320neos, with the aircraft, registration OE-LZP, touching down in Vienna on Wednesday, June 28th at 20:15.
In Thursday (June 29, 2023), Austrian Airlines announced the delivery of their fourth of four Airbus A320neos with that aircraft, registration OE-LZP, touching down in Vienna at 20:15 on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The carrier’s newest A320 has been Christened with the name ‘Kalkalpen’, and now joins the three previously delivered A320neos, OE-LZN (Donau-Auen), OE-LZO (Seewinkel), and OE-LZQ (Gesäuse). Since joining Austrian’s fleet, the new A320neos have been deployed most frequently to Amsterdam, Amman, Berlin, Frankfurt, Athens, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Cairo London and Zurich.
In today’s announcement, Austrian Airlines’ CEO, Annette Mann, said,
“We are delighted that our newest fleet member has arrived in time for the start of the holiday season. Austrian starts the summer well booked and with full planes. With the A320neo, we have brought one of the most innovative and efficient aircraft types on the market to Austrian and I am delighted that we will soon be growing on long-haul routes as well.”
Starting in 2024, Austrian Airlines will also begin taking delivery of 10 new state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, as they modernize their long-haul fleet, and increase it from nine to ten aircraft.
