American Airlines has today announced that they will renovate an additional Admirals Club Lounge at Washington DC’s Reagan National Airport. Located in Concourse D, the refreshed lounge will span over 10,000 square feet and will feature 50 percent more seating.

On Wednesday (December 17, 2025), American Airlines announced that they will be renovating their popular Admirals Club® lounge in Concourse D of Reagan National Airport (DCA). The renovated lounge will span more than 10,000 square feet, adding approximately 50 percent more seating, and giving customers more room to recharge prior to departure. The reimagined lounge will take design inspiration from the city, including local design elements that reflect the rich history of Washington, D.C. It will also feature airside views of the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument. American Airlines operates over 255 peak daily flights out of DCA, connecting customers to more than 90 destinations.
In Wednesday’s announcement, American Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer, Heather Garboden, said,
“We’re proud to serve the Washington, D.C. market, and it’s essential that we have the lounge footprint to support all of our customers in this important hub. The redesigned Admirals Club lounge will provide ample seating, an upscale design and elevated amenities that reflect the premium experience our customers deserve.”
When complete, the project will result in the second fully refurbished Admirals Club® lounge for American at DCA, reinforcing the company’s broader commitment to elevating the premium guest experience. Construction is targeted to begin in early 2026. The current lounge space will close during construction, but customers will continue to be able to access the Admirals Club® lounges in Concourses C and E.
For customers traveling domestically, Admirals Club lounge access is available through an Admirals Club membership, qualifying oneworld status or the Citi/AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard. Citi/AAdvantage Globe Mastercard cardholders can also use one of their four Admirals Club Globe passes, valid for 24 hours. Customers can also purchase a One Day Pass, valid for 24 hours, for $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage miles.
