For winter 2023/24, American Airlines will offer over 380 peak day departures from Miami, including service to seven new domestic destinations and a new route to Governor’s Harbour in the Bahamas.
On Thursday (July 13, 2023), American Airlines announced that they will operate their largest-ever schedule to and from Miami (MIA) for the winter 2023/24 season. The carrier will launch seven new domestic routes to/from Miami, including year-round daily service to Portland, Oregon (PDX) and Sacramento, California (SMF), as well as seasonal service to Buffalo, New York (BUF), Cedar Rapids, Iowa (CID), Lexington, Kentucky (LEX), Wichita, Kansas (ICT), and Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM). Additionally, American will launch new, exclusive service between Miami and Governor’s Harbour (GHB) in the Bahamas, with twice-weekly Embraer E175 service.
In Thursday’s announcement, American Airlines’ President of MIA Hub Operations, Juan Carlos Liscano, said,

Next winter we’re proud to continue to invest in the undisputed gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, a true point of pride for our more than 14,000 locally-based team members.”
From their Miami hub, American Airlines serves over 45 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as more than 70 destinations across the U.S.
