On Thursday (November 13, 2025), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new summer seasonal nonstop service between Seattle (SEA) and Rome (FCO).  Starting April 28, 2026, the route will operate daily with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.  With the added flights, Alaska increases the Seattle-Rome flight frequency from 4 times a week to daily, as a result of strong demand, and will become the only airline daily direct service on the route.  Guests traveling to Rome will enjoy the Group’s new global experience, including lie-flat seats, enclosed suites and multi-course Business Class dining.  Return fares on the route are now available for booking from as low as $599 on the airline’s website.  Alaska will also soon begin ticket sales for their new daily, year-round service between Seattle and London Heathrow, which also launches next spring.

In Thursday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew Harrison, said,

“With our nonstop service from Seattle to Rome and London, we’re opening the door to two of the world’s most iconic regions with the style and care our guests expect from us. These new routes mark a tremendous step in our global expansion and reflect our commitment to delivering a premium international experience from Seattle. We’re elated to connect the Pacific Northwest to more of the world.”
