airBaltic will launch new service from Tampere, Finland to Nice and Milan. Both routes will be operated twice weekly, with Nice service starting on May 2nd, and flights to Milan on May 4, 2023.
On Wednesday (February 8, 2023), airBaltic announced the launch of new twice-weekly service between Tampere, Finland and both Nice and Milan from May 2nd and May 4, 2023, respectively. Currently, airBaltic offers nonstop service from Tampere to Copenhagen (Denmark), Munich (Germany), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Malaga (Spain) and Rhodes (Greece), as well as continuing flights to Riga, Latvia. The flight time between Tampere and Nice is 3 hours and 35 minutes, while the Tampere-Milan route is 3 hours and 35 minutes. Like all airBaltic flights, the routes will be operated with an Airbus A220-300.
In Wednesday’s announcement, airBaltic’s CEO, Martin Gauss, said,
“In a few months we will be celebrating the first anniversary of our base in Tampere, and so far the demand from Finnish passengers has met our expectations. Following the success, we at airBaltic are thrilled to add these two beautiful cities to our route network, as both Nice and Milan are very popular travel choices. We hope that this year the passenger demand will gradually grow even more, therefore we may launch additional new destinations to various business hubs and leisure destinations over time.”
