AirAsia Wins Leading Low-Cost Airline Honors at ‘World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019’

Beating our fierce low-cost competitors such as Jetstar, SpiceJet, Nok Air, Firefly and Scoot, AirAsia takes top honors as ‘Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew.’

Yesterday, in a gala ceremony at the Vinpearl Convention Centre on the island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, AirAsia was honored during the 2019 World Travel Awards - Asia and Oceania, winning the top honors for Asia’s leading low-cost airline and leading low-cost airline cabin crew. The awards were accepted by AirAsia- Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat. According to today’s AirAsia Press Release, upon receipt of the awards, Mr. Asmat stated,
“It is an honor to receive these awards. Being recognized by guests and industry colleagues as Asia’s best is a testament to our ongoing efforts to develop new and innovative guest-obsessed products and services. We would like to thank our All-stars, especially our award-winning cabin crew, for their hard work and commitment to delivering and providing the best experience for our guests.”
Established in 1993, The World Travel Awards are one of the most prestigious and sought-after awards in the global tourism industry, celebrating excellence across the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. At yesterday’s ceremony, World Travel Founder Graham E. Cooke stated,
