AirAsia to Launch Three Weekly Flights Between Kuching and Langkawi From November 13, 2020

AirAsia is launching three weekly flights between two of Malaysia’s most popular destinations, Kuching and Langkawi, starting November 13, 2020. To celebrate the new service, the carrier is offering one-way fares for BIG members from RM59 (USD $14.19).

On Wednesday (September 30, 2020), AirAsia announced that they will launch three weekly flights between the popular Malaysian destinations of Kuching and Langkawi from November 13, 2020. Tickets are now available for purchase on the company’s website or app with one-way all-in fares for BIG members starting at only RM59 (USD $14.19). Customers can also book ‘SNAP’ flight and hotel packages including return flight and 2 night/3 day stays at the Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi or Nadis Hotel Chenang from RM269 (USD $64.69) per person. Visitors to Kuching can enjoy stays at the Tune Hotel – Waterfront Kuching or Regatta Suites Kuching from RM219 (USD $52.67) per person. In Wednesday’s announcement, AirAsia’s Head of Commercial, Amanda Woo, said,


“While we await international borders to reopen, the domestic market will continue to be our key focus. Langkawi is one of our top-performing destinations as one of Malaysia's most popular beach destinations. This route will further expand our domestic network and provide better connectivity for people from both cities. Not just that, we also hope to create opportunities for businesses such as hotels, tour operators, travel providers and others by leveraging on this connection between East and North Peninsular Malaysia.”

AirAsia customers can also book airport transfers, transportation services and excursions on the company’s website. Travelers to Kuching might enjoy a day trip to Bako National Park, the Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre or the Sarawak Cultural Village. While visiting Langkawi, visitors can enjoy a sunset cruise on the Andaman Sea or partake in exciting outdoor activities such as zipline or ATV and jet ski rentals.
