Air Transat to Fly South From Windsor, Charlottetown and Fredericton This Winter

Air Transat will fly south from three new winter cities for winter 2025/2026, including Windsor, Charlottetown and Fredericton.  Travelers from Windsor will enjoy service to Punta Cana, while those from Charlottetown and Fredericton will have access to Cancún.

On Thursday (May 15, 2025) Air Transat announced that for the winter 2025/2026 season, customers from three additional Canadian cities will enjoy connections to southern destinations.  Customers from Windsor (YQG) will enjoy weekly flights to Punta Cana (PUJ)  in the Dominican Republic, while travelers from Charlottetown (YYG) and Fredericton (YFC) will have access to new service to Cancún (CUN) in Mexico.


In Thursday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Sebastian Ponce, said,


The addition of Windsor, Charlottetown and Fredericton to our winter flight program demonstrates our commitment to expanding our network in the Canadian market.  Thanks to optimized operations, we are strengthening our leadership position in Cancún and Punta Cana, while increasing our brand presence in Eastern Canada and Southern Ontario.”


Flights from Windsor to Punta Cana will operate on Fridays from December 19, 2025, through April 10, 2026, while departures to Cancún from Charlottetown and Fredericton will operate on Wednesdays from February 18, 2026, through April 22, 2026.
