Air Transat is resuming direct service to Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse. The carrier will also restart nonstop flights to Paris from Toronto and Quebec City, while increasing frequencies between Montreal and Paris with up to 14 weekly flights.
On Friday (April 8, 2022), Air Transat announced that they will gradually resume service to France’s regions. The carrier resumed service between Montreal and Marseille on Friday, and in the coming weeks will restart direct service from Quebec to six destinations from Brittany to Provence and Aquitaine to Auvergne. From early May, Air Transat will gradually resume service from Montreal to Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse. The enhanced flight program to France’s regions will complement the carrier’s existing daily service between Montreal and Paris, which will increase to up to 14 weekly flights in May. Additionally, Transat will resume direct service to Paris from Quebec City on April 10th, and from Toronto on May 3rd. During peak summer 2022, the airline will offer 43 weekly flights to France from Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto.
In Friday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Joseph Adamo, said,
“We are very pleased to resume our flights to France's regions. These routes—most of which we operate exclusively—have been an integral part of our flight program for many years. The ties between Canada and France are very valuable and as our global recovery picks up speed, we look forward to meeting the significant latent demand. We know that whether travellers are going on vacation or catching up with loved ones, they really appreciate the ease of flying direct to their final destination, especially on our new-generation aircraft.”
