Air Transat and GOL Airlines Launch New Interline Partnership

Air Transat has today announced the launch of a new interline partnership with Brazil’s GOL Airlines, which will enhance connectivity between Canada and South America.

On Monday (December 1, 2025), Air Transat announced the start of a new interline partnership with GOL Airlines, one of Brazil’s largest airlines.  This new partnership will significantly expand Air Transat’s network by providing convenient onward connections across Brazil and to key destinations throughout South America.  Customers flying with Air Transat to Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport (GIG) will be able to seamlessly connect to GOL’s extensive network of 65 domestic and 17 international destinations, including key cities such as Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador et Belo Horizonte.


In Monday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Sebastian Ponce, said,


“We are thrilled to partner with GOL to make it easier than ever for Canadians to explore Brazil and beyond.  This partnership strengthens our presence in South America and expands our network in a way that perfectly complements our new non-stop service to Rio de Janeiro.”


Air Transat will launch new twice-weekly service from Toronto (YYZ) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) starting February 4, 2026, while once weekly service from Montreal (YUL) and (GIG) will commence on February 5, 2026.
