Air Serbia has today launched direct service between Belgrade and Heraklion in Crete. The route will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with an Airbus A320 aircraft.
On Wednesday (May 31, 2023), Air Serbia announced the launch of new seasonal service between Belgrade and Heraklion, Crete. Flight JU750 departed Belgrade at 11:55 today, and the aircraft was greeted upon arrival in Heraklion with a welcome ceremony. The route will now operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with an Airbus A320. When visiting Heraklion, Air Serbia recommends starting your tour with a visit to the old port, where a Middle Ages era shipyard still exists. Next, travelers can enjoy a walk down August Street, where they can visit the Cathedral of St. Tutus, which was built in 1872. Other popular sites include the Archaeological Museum, which features unique treasures from the Minoan civilization.
In today’s announcement, Air Serbia’s Commercial Manager – Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said,
“Heraklion is the crossroads of three continents and one of the most vibrant places in the Mediterranean, and as of today, a new destination in our growing network. With the introduction of a service to this city, we have expanded Air Serbia’s presence in the friendly country of Greece. During June, we will start operating flights to Rhodes, Corfu, and Chania, enabling passengers to reach these popular leisure destinations quickly and easily.”
