Air Mauritius to Launch Flights From Paris and Reunion in October

With the gradual easing of travel restrictions by the Government of Mauritius, Air Mauritius announced the resumption of service to/from Paris with twice-weekly service as well as one weekly flight from Reunion for October 2020.

Today (September 28, 2020), Air Mauritius announced that with the gradual lifting of government travel restrictions, they will offer twice-weekly service to/from Paris as well as one weekly flight to/from Reunion in October. Reservations are now open, and flight can book tickets on the airline’s website, call center, ticket offices or through travel agents. Customers travelling to Mauritius in October will require a negative PCR test within seven days of departure, a valid air ticket to Mauritius and proof-of-purchase of hotel accommodations for a mandatory 14-day quarantine period. Visitors must undergo additional PCR tests on the day of arrival, day seven, and day 14 following their arrival, and if they are COVID-19 positive, will be transferred to a public medical institution for treatment.

Air Mauritius is limiting carry-on baggage to one piece weighing no more than 7 kg and checked bags can weigh no more than 32kg. Kestrelflyer Gold or Silver cardholders are eligible for an additional piece of luggage up to 20 kg. The carrier advises customers to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to departure and the wearing of masks are mandatory for all passengers 11 years or older throughout the entire journey. Customers should be prepared to replace their masks every four hours.
