Air Lease Corporation has today announced the long-term placement of three new Boeing 737-8 MAX airplanes with Aeroitalia, for delivery from 2023 through 2024 from ALC’s order book with Boeing.
On Tuesday (November 1, 2022), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the long-term placement of three Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with Aeroitalia. The aircraft will be delivered starting in 2023 through 2024 from ALC’s order book with Boeing. Aeroitalia is a new Italian airline funded entirely by private capital by air transport industry professionals.
Headquartered in Rome, and starting a hub in Forlí, the carrier currently operates charter and scheduled regional routes across Europe with a fleet of three Boeing 737-800NGs.
In Today’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, said,
“We are very pleased to announce this placement of three new Boeing 737-8 aircraft with Aeroitalia. The capabilities of the Boeing 737-8 will greatly enhance Aeroitalia’s operational efficiency and expanding fleet with the most modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.”
Also commenting on the lease placements, ALC’s Vice President of Marketing, AJ Abedin, said,
“With this placement, Aeroitalia’s team of seasoned airline industry veterans are prudently growing their fleet and operations to meet the needs of the airline’s steadily growing business.”
Aeroitalia’s Chief Executive Officer, Gaetano Intrieri, added,
